Introduction to Acting for Adults

Introduction to Acting for Adults is a ten-week course of two-hour sessions for beginners. It uses improvisation and role play to introduce various acting techniques and is ideal for those with a curiosity for acting. It also helps develop communication skills and builds confidence.
No experience is necessary – the main requirement is enthusiasm. However, participants are expected to make full commitment to the whole course and must be prepared to work as part of a team. The course is aimed at beginners and is facilitated by a team of dedicated drama practitioners, including experienced actors and directors.

- Classes take place in Stage Two at Norwich Theatre Royal.
- Cost - £100
- Suitable for Age 18+
- Participants should wear loose comfortable clothing suitable for movement
Courses available in September, January, and April/May. Courses will be run on the following dates*:
- 11th September – 20th November 2019 (excluding half term on 23rd October 2019)
- 15th January - 25th March 2020 (excluding half term on 19 February 2020)
- 22nd April 2020 – 1st July 2020 (excluding half term on 27th May 2020)
*Dates 2019/2020 should be used as a guide and may be subject to change.

Norwich Theatre Royal have been delivering acting courses for children, young people and adults very successfully for over twenty-five years. The team are based at Stage Two, the Theatre Royal’s education centre, and classes are held there.
Activities are dependent on minimum numbers participating, in the event that we need to cancel due to low participant numbers, a full refund will be given. We are unable to offer refunds in other circumstances.
