Arts Awards At Stage Two


A unique opportunity for young people to grow as artists and arts leaders

Do you want to learn new skills in the arts and develop your creativity and communication?

Arts Award can be achieved in any area of the arts – it’s up to you! You can be the creator or performer of your own work, or choose to develop creative skills with roles in marketing or event management

Young people can explore the world of theatre-making and the arts with Stage Two’s dedicated advisers who can support young people in developing their interests. .


There could be opportunities to:

  • Explore backstage
  • Take part in practical workshops
  • Plan, deliver and review the arts
  • Work independently and in teams
  • Take the lead
  • Look at the different departments involved in running the theatre
  • Research artists and their work
  • Review art experiences
  • Share and reflect


Everyone has their own individual keepsake log book or personal portfolio to record their arts experiences.

Arts Award is offered at five levels; four accredited (Explore, Bronze, Silver & Gold) & one introductory for younger participants (Discover). Everyone’s evidence will be moderated for a national qualification which is administered by Arts Council England and Trinity College London.

Arts Award is a national qualification that develops young people’s creative arts skills. It’s a chance to discover, experience and be inspired by the creative industries, as part of a visit to Norwich Theatre Royal or Stage Two.

If you’d like an opportunity get creative, experience new art forms, develop skills in communication and team-work and gain vital life skills such as self-confidence, communication and leadership, start your Arts Award journey now!

Young people (up to the age of 25) can work their way through these Trinity College London qualifications in five levels. Theatre Royal have developed log books for the first three levels which can be completed in your own time or whilst taking part in fun, engaging activities at the theatre.
